"we weep"

green leaves shadowing clean water,
the taste of summer on your lips.
a legacy of dreaming dreams created,
like yearning sliding down burning hips.

castles in the worlds of man cannot compete,
nor dungeons of the foulest craven beast.
potent spires and towers of shine commence,
to call your heart awake, alive, from the silence.

that void could be seen as past, as days long since,
the turmoils hobbled and broken, uncovered tents.
that pain forgotten in a way, lost in a dismal sleep,
that of joy and imaginings, that which we reap.

we build those wonders every day, we wander on,
calling to us great visions, calling to us some peace.
as time flows on, down and past in words and song,
we triumph, we billow, our eyes fill and we weep.
